Submit an Online Prayer Lift Request

The prayer ministry seeks to be God-centered, focusing on God, making God's will, His glory and God's kingdom preeminent.

The prayer ministry is built on the truth that prayer is a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, in which believers seek God, depend on God, and surrender to God.  Prayer is two-way communication between the Lord and His people.

Corporate prayer is God's gift to the church. Praying together in one accord releases the power of God to work in peoples hearts and lives and situations.    Prayer is the foundation for effective ministry.

First Baptist Church's Prayer Ministry consists of:

The Prayer Lift

Mission:
The Prayer Lift  is a way for people to have specific prayers lifted up in prayer by people in the church and the Wednesday Night Prayer group.

Vision:
The Lord will be glorified as people respond to His working in their lives through answers to prayer.

Access:
People may access the Prayer Lift by filling out a Prayer Lift card ( in the pews) and placing it in the offering plate or in the Prayer Box in the foyer, or by filling in the online Prayer Lift Form.  The prayer request will be listed on the printed Prayer Lift (unless you specify otherwise) for the congregation to pray for and will be prayed for on Wed. Nights for 30 days.  If prayer is desired beyond the 30 days, please fill out another prayer request card to update.  Sharing the specific need / answer is helpful for those praying to know how they should pray.

The Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting

Mission:
To join with other believers in praise of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to offer thanksgiving for what He has done, to offer requests, the needs of the congregation in agreement, in one accord, as the Word directs, and in faith, to release the power of God to intervene in people's  hearts, lives, and situations, to pray for the lost and reaching the lost as the Lord leads.

Vision:
That the Lord would be glorified through the prayers of His people, that the people would be in awe and praise the Lord for the great things He has done.  That many will seek to know Him, pray to Him  and also glorify Him.

Access:
The Wednesday Night Prayer Group meets every Wednesday Evening at 6:30 PM at the church and is open to all who would like to join in.  It is a time of refreshing and all are encouraged to take part.

Prayer requests/answers may be sent in:

The Prayer Chain

Mission:
To pray for requests that are of a more urgent  and immediate need in a timely fashion.

Vision:
That people will see the awesome power of God through prayer and learn to more fully trust in Him.

Access:
A Prayer Request is initiated by calling Evelyn Kerlejza directly, or the church office, or one's Deacon.

The Prayer Chain is divided into two sections:   List A - consisting of people who are called immediately;  and List B - consisting of people who are contacted later or on the same day by e-mail.

Evelyn calls the first person on each list:  on List A, then that person calls the next, etc.;  and on List B, then that person e-mail's the rest of the people.

People interested in joining the Prayer Chain should contact Evelyn Kerlejza .  Those who lift up the prayer requests are urged to do so in a timely fashion, with urgency and fervency.
