Nursery Information and Parent Guide


Welcome to the nursery at First Baptist Church of Manchester. We want to give  you some information that will help you understand our procedures and policies  to help you feel more at home here.

Ages
Baby Room is appropriate for newborns until walking stage.
Walker Room is appropriatefor walkers through age 2.5 years.
Toddler Room is appropriate for ages 2.5 years through 4th birthday.

Sign In - Sign Out
Parent should fill out sign in sheet completely.  Be sure to include parent    location during Sunday School and Worship Service, as well as any special    instructions regarding naps, snacks, or allergies.  A tag will be clipped    on child's clothing, and a corresponding bracelet will be given to parent.    Label diaper bag, bottle/cup, food, etc. with child's name using masking    tape provided for this purpose. When it is time to go home, only parent with    matching bracelet tag may pick child up. No older siblings will be allowed    to pick child up.

What to Bring

                   
When to Keep Your Child Home
We ask that you keep your child at home with any of the following symptoms and/or  illnesses:
         
  • Fever
  • Runny Nose
  • Questionable rashes
  • Coughing
  • Diarrhea
  • Vomiting
         
  • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)     
  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Active Chicken Pox
  • Impetigo

Emergency
There are two evacuation cribs in the baby room used to wheel all babies outside.    Gather at the field end of the parking lot. Parents should retrieve their    children after arriving outside. Please do not go to the Nursery before exiting    the church. Nursery workers will need to take sign-in sheets when evacuating,    checking to make sure all children are safely out of the building.

Volunteers
Volunteers should be at least age 12 and in the seventh grade. (See Child  Protection Policy for further information)
