Community: Cancer Support
CANCER SUPPORT FELLOWSHIP- Please watch for date of re-start up of this group.
FBC of Manchester Cancer support ministry designed to help those who are struggling with the painful circumstances of cancer. Our desire is to provide an environment filled with hope and encouragement where fear and uncertainty often rules. We offer support to those who suffer from any type of cancer as well as friends or family members who have a loved one who suffers from cancer.
While this fellowship is predominately a cancer support group, we invite anyone who has a chronic disease seeking support.
Our mission is accomplished through the following:
- The Bible
Cancer can make a person feel like he or she has been abandoned by God. The predictability of life is often crushed and you wonder where you will get the strength to go on. The Bible reminds us that if we "draw near to God, He will draw near to us" ( James 4:8). There is no better source of hope and encouragement than the Bible.
- Prayer Support
As a support group, we are here to pray for you. Prayer is at the heart of all we do.
- Friendship Support
People who are coping with the same problems and issues truly understand how cancer can change a life forever. Loyal friendships begin when people genuinely care about the journey you are on, know of your challenger, and want to support your along the way.
- Support Materials
We want to provide recommended resources from such places as the American Cancer Society, health-care professionals, and individuals who work with cancer patients. These materials are meant to provide practical guidance, both spiritual and physical, for cancer patients and their families.
We are not victims of Cancer!
We are children of the Living God!
